Today, data from the Geekbench performance measurement website reveals information about Samsung's new Exynos 1480 chipset, indicating that this SoC will indeed utilize an AMD GPU and deliver excellent performance.

As per reports, the Exynos 1480 has surfaced on Geekbench with model number S5E8845. The listing discloses that the chipset will feature an octa-core architecture with four energy-efficient cores running at 2.05GHz and four high-performance cores running at 2.75GHz. The Exynos 1480 will have a base clock of 2.05GHz and will be paired with
GPUSamsung's Xclipse 530 may be designed with a similar RDNA 2 graphics architecture as AMD.

Geekbench reveals that Exynos 1480 has scored 882 points in single-core test and 2,808 points in multi-core test. While these scores may not be very impressive, especially considering that this chip will power the mid-range Galaxy A55. However, when compared to Exynos 1380, the performance isn't too bad. For reference, the Galaxy A54 with Exynos 1380 scored 776 points in Geekbench 5 single-core test and 2,599 points in multi-core test.
Geekbench listings confirm a recent report by Galaxy Club that the Galaxy A55 with Exynos 1480 has been tested. The phone is expected to launch in the first quarter of next year, similar to the Galaxy A54. Let's wait and see!
