Now, many gamers who invested in the F1 Delta Time NFT game are feeling like they're on thin ice
F1 Delta Time is an NFT game officially licensed by the organizers of the Formula 1 racing. The game was launched and operated a few years ago, attracting a large number of gamers. However, this past March, the game publisher announced its permanent closure, leaving many gamers in dire straits.

First and foremost, it's important to mention that F1 Delta Time had credibility due to its official licensing from the Formula 1 organizers. Until the announcement of closure, the game ran smoothly, and the NFT item market was highly active. In 2019, an NFT in this game set a record, selling for over $100,000 (approximately 2.2 billion VND) and immediately rose to the top spot for the most expensive items of the year. Additionally, the partnership between the publisher and the F1 license acted as a solid guarantee, attracting players to participate in the game.
Prior to the closure announcement, the publisher didn't show any unusual signs. It wasn't until March 15th, just one day before the closure, that gamers received the notice and were shocked to realize they had only about 24 hours to wrap up everything in the game. Investments, NFT items... that gamers had in F1 Delta Time disappeared so rapidly that players couldn't react in time.

In addition to the regrets and losses, F1 Delta Time also serves as a valuable lesson for gamers placing trust in licensed NFT projects. Because when the license cannot be renewed or expires, the entire project will burst like a bubble. There were times when players were willing to spend over $300,000 (approximately 6 billion VND) for a transaction in F1 Delta Time, but now everything is just memories on the Internet.
Certainly, their token assets remain, but upon game closure, they all become worthless lines of code. Although the publisher is deeply aware of this issue and promises to transfer players' NFT assets to another NFT racing game they're developing, it seems unlikely to fully compensate for all the losses that F1 Delta Time gamers are enduring.
