According to the latest information, Facebook has just introduced and launched a feature to assist users in transferring money for the messaging app Facebook Messenger. Facebook also stated that this amount will be transferred immediately afterward. However, you might have to wait two to three days before seeing the money appear in your bank account. Additionally, this feature will only be available in the US, and it's unclear whether it will be rolled out in other countries. This money transfer service currently only allows the use of debit cards because processing costs are lower than credit cards, and configuration is also easier than directly linking to a bank account.
Along with the introduction of the new feature, Facebook also emphasizes the security aspect of their system: 'We use a security system capable of encrypting the connection between you and Facebook with your banking information in case you store that information on Facebook.' It is known that users can add a PIN code or use Touch ID to enhance security.
