Facebook adds Soundmojis on Messenger.

Facebook reveals that over 2.4 billion emoji-laden messages are sent daily on Facebook Messenger. Emojis inject vibrancy and color into conversations. To elevate user chat experiences, the social media giant has introduced a fresh batch of sound-emitting emojis for Messenger, dubbed Soundmojis.

Soundmojis are essentially Facebook Messenger emojis tasked with emitting sounds like applause, drums, laughter, or snippets from movies or TV shows such as lines from Fast & Furious 9. Facebook assures they will regularly update the Soundmoji library on Facebook Messenger with a plethora of options, expressing their excitement to roll out this feature ahead of World Emoji Day on July 17.

To try out Soundmojis, simply open the Facebook Messenger app and select a contact to start chatting. Then, click on the emoji icon and choose the speaker icon. A new window will appear allowing you to preview and send Soundmojis. At this time, Facebook has not clarified whether recipients have the option to mute this new feature or not.
