Introducing the Wi-Fi Discovery feature, showcasing locations where Facebook users can effortlessly connect to Wi-Fi without the need for a password.
A Facebook representative stated: ‘To ensure users can always connect with friends and stay updated on news, we have decided to launch the feature that discovers Wi-Fi networks closest to users’.
Additionally, this feature is expected to help Facebook grow its user base in areas with weak internet connectivity or expensive internet usage. In such situations, users can easily access Wi-Fi to log into Facebook.
