Faker perceives that Chovy's moment of embarrassment directly helped T1 secure victory in the deciding match.
It's been almost 2 days since T1 defeated Gen.G Esports in the LCK Spring 2022 finals to claim the championship title of the highest League of Legends tournament in Korea. It's been exactly 2 years since T1 last took the crown in this tournament. Notably, this is the most perfect championship in LCK history as T1 claimed the title without dropping a single game.

Although Gen.G suffered defeat, looking at the overall picture of all 4 games, it can be said that Chovy and teammates exerted maximum effort. With the team newly formed, Gen.G showed a lack of synergy in some crucial situations during the match. Especially in the games they lost, Gen.G players made many fatal errors, from pathing to team fights. However, it cannot be denied that at times Gen.G made T1 fans 'heart skip a beat' as they had many opportunities to 'turn the tables' in games 1 and 3.

But game 4, the deciding match, could be seen as a series of mistakes from Gen.G, from the drafting phase to the actual game. But as Faker shared, T1 still couldn't secure the win despite having many advantages from the early game. It was only when Chovy made a fatal facecheck, Faker and teammates knew they had won: 'When she executed that facecheck in the left bush and got caught, I thought she was a bit distracted. That was also the moment I knew we had won.'

The situation Faker referred to occurred at the 20-minute mark. While Gen.G was pushing from the mid lane, Chovy went straight into the bush for a facecheck with Faker and Oner waiting. As a result, Chovy was caught for the 3rd time in game 4. Faker believes this is the moment T1 knew they had secured victory because, in both previous occasions, Chovy was caught in a way that required a lot of effort from T1, and it can be said, this is a situation of serious self-error of the 2001-born mid laner. Immediately after, the entire Gen.G team was wiped out.
The situation where Chovy's mistake helped T1 sweep Gen.G afterwards
Faker's assessment suggests how Chovy's blunder significantly influenced the game's outcome. Despite T1's earlier substantial lead, when Chovy also stumbled, Gen.G had no hope left. And ironically for Chovy, he was the one who contributed to 'delivering' the victory to T1.
