Faker respects LPL for a crucial element
In their quest for the 2023 World Championship, Faker and teammates faced a colossal challenge named '4 LPL teams.' It marked the first time in Worlds history that an LCK or LPL team confronted all four representatives from the opposing region. T1 had to triumph over BLG to secure a Quarterfinals spot and then defeat the remaining three teams for the championship.
T1 demonstrated superior strength and flawless form against LPL representatives. Despite facing four formidable teams, the only LPL loss came from J D Gaming in the Semifinals. T1 consistently secured victories, not even having the 'opportunity' to lose in the grand final.
Reflecting on the Worlds 2023 matches on his streaming channel, Faker expressed deep admiration for JDG players and LPL overall. He praised the exceptional mentality of LPL players, especially noting 369's positive attitude after losing to T1.
Post T1 vs. JDG, LPL players maintained a positive attitude, exchanging handshakes with the T1 roster. However, behind the scenes, some JDG players visibly expressed disappointment, with Missing even shedding tears. Despite the shocking defeat, JDG's professional spirit is commendable.
Faker himself shows respect for his adversaries. In any match, there will always be a winner and a loser. However, LPL players can take pride in their utmost efforts, simply colliding with an overwhelmingly strong T1 at that particular moment.
