With a record of 25 hours and 50 minutes, Tsang Yin-hung from Hong Kong has become the fastest woman to conquer the world's highest peak.
Fastest Everest Ascent by Hong Kong Woman
According to Nepalese officials, Tsang Yin-hung (44), a mountaineer from Hong Kong, completed the journey to the summit of Everest in 25 hours and 50 minutes on May 23rd.

Speaking to the press, Gyanendra Shrestha, the Nepalese government's liaison officer at Everest Base Camp, stated that Tsang Yin-hung left the camp at 1:20 pm on May 22nd and reached the summit at 3:10 pm the following day.
At present, the fastest woman to conquer Everest is Phunjo Jhangmu Lama from Nepal, who reached the summit of the 8,848.86-meter peak in 39 hours and 6 minutes.

Currently, Ms. Tsang Yin-hung is eagerly awaiting recognition and inclusion in the Guinness World Records.
As of now, the fastest woman to conquer Everest is Ms. Phunjo Jhangmu Lama (from Nepal), having reached the summit of this 8,848.86-meter-high mountain in 39 hours and 6 minutes.

Nepal has issued 408 permits for mountaineers to summit Everest this season after last year's expedition was canceled due to the pandemic.
