To immerse yourself in the European vibe amidst Dalat, consider renting a vintage villa surrounded by vast, lush gardens, brimming with greenery.
Dalat boasts fantastic weather, beautiful flowers, delicious cuisine, and friendly locals. Living in Dalat for a week feels like being in Europe. Here are some useful tips if you're planning to visit Dalat. The best time to visit Dalat is at the end of the year, but you can still go during the summer, despite occasional unexpected showers.
Accommodation

To truly experience the poetic beauty of Dalat, I recommend renting a vintage villa, such as those on Quang Trung Street (opposite the Dalat railway station). In this area, there are many charming vintage villas with delicate architecture blending harmoniously with nature. Most of these villas have white fences, red tiled roofs, stone walls, and are adorned with plenty of flowers. Room rates here range from 200,000 to 350,000 VND per night, depending on the number of people. The most expensive room can accommodate up to 5 people, suitable for large groups, and the cost is reasonable.
You can also rent motorcycles here, priced at 80,000 VND per day for manual bikes and 100,000 VND per day for automatic scooters.
Food and Drinks
The central Hòa Bình market is a must-visit place. Here you can find a wide variety of food items, and it's bustling, especially on weekends. You can buy jackets ranging from only 10,000 to 35,000 VND here, with plenty of choices.
Thanh Thảo Fruit Ice Cream Shop at 76 Nguyễn Văn Trỗi offers incredibly delicious fruit ice cream and tempting Thai sweet soup. Prices are reasonable.
Tăng Bạt Hổ Pancake Stall. This stall, with no name, is located near Hòa Bình area, opposite number 7 Tăng Bạt Hổ and next to a gold shop. The pancakes here are quite tasty, with quail egg and chicken egg fillings.
If you're craving chicken, you can head to Tri Kỷ Chicken Stall on Nguyên Tử Lực Street. It's a bit pricey, but worth every penny.

Hé Sweet Soup Stall at 11A 3/2 Street (near Hòa Bình area) also doesn't have a signboard. Its door is always half-open, hence the name 'hé' (half-open). The sweet soup here is as delicious as rumored and definitely worth trying.
Moc Cafe is situated on Nguyen Du Street (in the same villa as Song Vy Cafe, but Moc is a wine cellar in the building). This cafe features live music on weekends, often Trinh music. Drinks start from 70,000 VND.
Rainny Cafe is a relatively beautiful garden cafe, located on Hung Vuong Street. A special feature of this cafe is that it plays music based on the area, such as pop, international, and revolutionary music. You can choose a cafe area according to your preference. It's best to visit during the day to fully appreciate the scenery here.
Bich Cau Cafe – Ho Xuan Huong Lake is a cafe located on the peninsula facing Ho Xuan Huong Lake – near the city's flower garden park. This cafe is incredibly beautiful and romantic. It's recommended to visit in the morning to fully experience the beauty of Dalat.
Places of Interest
Valley of Love or Dream Hill: These two areas should only be visited once as they are adjacent and have relatively similar designs, admission fee required.
Golden Valley: Located 14km from the city center towards the Langbiang Plateau. This area is vast and beautifully designed. Worth a visit, also requires admission fee.
Langbiang Plateau: In reality, there's not much up on this plateau, just a quick sightseeing before heading back down. To get here, you'll need to rent a Jeep for 240,000 VND per trip. The Jeep can accommodate 6 people. The price depends on the number of passengers. It's necessary to take the Jeep because walking would be time-consuming and tiring. Note that if you visit Langbiang Plateau in October, you can enjoy paragliding from the top down, which is fantastic. However, this activity is not available in other months due to weather conditions.
Dalat City Flower Park: This is a must-visit place. Here, you'll find a variety of beautiful flowers, perfect for posing and taking photos.
Dalat City Golf Course: This golf course is located near Ho Xuan Huong Lake. The admission fee is 80,000 VND per person. In 30-45 minutes, you'll be driven by a specialized vehicle and get to try hitting 10 golf balls.
Photography Spots
In addition to the parks mentioned above, you can also go photography hunting at some locations:
Dalat Pedagogical College: This is a school with ancient French-style architecture featuring beautiful red bricks and tiled roofs. Wearing ao dai and taking photos here is a must, and it's completely free.

Phu Dong Restaurant on Quang Trung Street: This restaurant area is located in a beautiful ancient stone villa.
Dalat Railway Station with its vintage train carriages is perfect for posing. All free of charge.
In Dalat, many people are unaware of the existence of cloud valleys. However, not every time of the year allows for cloud hunting. Cloud hunting spot: Mat Farm, 7km from the center of Dalat City.
Avoid following invitations to visit and pick strawberries in the gardens. In reality, these sellers invite you and then force you to buy their products before showing you the strawberry garden. After buying, you'll find that the strawberries here mostly grow underground and are very small. Not good for photography at all. If you want to go, visit the strawberry garden of a researcher on the way to Golden Valley. The strawberries here are grown on racks, more photogenic.
