Step 1: In the Zalo interface after logging in, tap on More > select Scan QR Code.

Each user's QR Code is unique as a means of identification. You can find your personal QR code by tapping My QR Code at the bottom corner of the screen or by scanning from Library.
Step 2: Zalo will automatically redirect to the profile page of the Zalo user you're searching for. Tap Add friend to send a friend request on Zalo.
If you want to retrieve your personal account QR code and share it with other users, tap My QR Code while in QR code scanning mode. Tap Share QR Code on Facebook to easily share this QR code with friends and connect on Zalo.
Finding Friends on Zalo for Android via QR Code Scanning
Similar to finding friends on Zalo for iPhone through QR code scanning, on Android, the process is also quite similar.
Step 1: From the main interface of Zalo after logging in, switch to the Settings tab (three-dot icon) > Scan QR Code.
Point the camera towards the QR code of the other Zalo user you want to befriend.
Step 2: Zalo will automatically redirect to the profile page of the Zalo user who owns that QR code. Simply press Add friend to send a friend request to that user.
During the QR Code scanning process, you can view your personal QR code by tapping My QR Code and then share it on Facebook or Scan available images of QR codes from your image library.
Step 3: If you want to retrieve your personal QR code and share it on Facebook or save it to your library, access your Zalo profile.
Click the menu icon > My QR Code. Here, you can change to a different QR code or save it to your library to activate the Scan available images feature while scanning QR codes.
