1. In Case They're Already Friends

If you and your friend are already connected on Viber, or you have saved their number in your phonebook, here's how to find them on Viber:

Step 1:

Log in to the Viber app.

Step 2: In the 'Calls' section, tap on the magnifying glass icon at the top right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Enter the username or phone number of the person you want to search for.

Note: Viber usernames are synchronized from the nicknames you save in your phonebook.

At this point, the contact number will appear, allowing you to quickly make calls or send messages to friends.

2. In case they're not friends yet

If they're not friends on Viber and you haven't saved their number in your phonebook either, then follow these instructions to find Viber via phone number as follows:

Step 1: Log in to the Viber app.

Step 2: In the 'More' section (the three-dot icon at the bottom right corner of the screen), select 'Add Contact'.

Step 3: Enter your friends' phone numbers and press 'Continue'.

Step 4: At this point, there will be 2 possible scenarios:

- If this person already has a Viber account, their account name will be displayed on the screen. You've successfully used the method to find friends on Viber, making it easy to instantly connect, call, and message.

- In case this person hasn't registered for Viber yet, you can invite them to download the app, create an account, and start using it.

Note: The feature to find friends on Viber via QR code only applies to cases where the person has already registered a Viber account, and you must have the QR code of the person you want to contact.

II. How to Find Friends on Viber via Computer

Step 1: You need to download the Viber app to your computer and then scan the QR code to log in.

How to scan the QR code to log in to the Viber app on your computer: Open the Viber app on your phone > Select 'More' > Choose the QR code icon at the top right corner of the screen > Point your camera at the QR code displayed on your computer screen > Complete the login process.

Step 2: In the 'Search' box, enter the name or phone number of your friends.

Note: If you search for Viber friends by entering their names, the name must match the nickname you have saved in your phonebook.

Step 3: Similarly, there will be 2 scenarios:

- If this person already has a Viber account, the screen will display their account name. You can add them as a friend or immediately call and message them.
