Firefox 102 introduces a new feature called 'Query Parameter Stripping,' automatically removing tracking URL parameters when users click on any link. For example, Facebook uses the query 'fbclid =' to identify who accessed a specific URL. The latest Firefox update will remove queries and other trackers from Olytics, Vero, HubSpot, Marketo, and Drip.

Discovered by Bleeping Computer, Query Parameter Stripping is currently not available in Private Mode. Users can force activate this feature by entering about:config in the browser address bar, searching for strip, and setting the option privacy.query_stripping.enabled.pbmode to True.
