The U.S. infrastructure security and cybersecurity agency also issued a warning, urging users and system administrators to review Mozilla's advisories and update their web browsers.
Samuel Groß, a security researcher at Google Project Zero, and the Coinbase Security research team discovered and reported a security vulnerability to Mozilla. According to Mozilla, the issue arises from manipulation of JavaScript objects due to problems with Array.pop.
In essence, attackers can inject malware into the victim's system through malicious websites they visit when running unpatched web browser versions.
If using an outdated, unpatched version of Firefox, users are advised to update to the latest version as soon as possible.
