Mozilla introduced the Firefox Reality browser over a year ago, promising users a web browsing experience built on virtual reality platform. The browser aims to make content discovery easier in virtual reality, which they achieve through a prominently featured virtual reality homepage. Today, Mozilla is introducing a new feature to elevate browsing experiences to new heights - the Send Tab support feature.
Send Tab has been a long-standing feature on Firefox; and with support for Firefox Reality, it makes experiencing virtual reality content on another device easier. If you find content you love on your computer or phone, you can send that tab to your VR headset and experience it there.
In addition to sending tabs between different devices, the latest update to Firefox Reality also includes some other small improvements. Now, you can copy and paste text and links by pressing and holding them. Then, a context menu will appear, similar to what you typically see on smartphones. You can also use a Bluetooth keyboard, if your VR headset supports it. Lastly, there are new keyboard layouts and support for 6 new languages like Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, and Polish.
The latest update is now available for all supported devices such as Oculus Go, Quest, and HTC Vive lineup.
