Xiaomi 12S Pro debuts inheriting the essence of the Xiaomi 12 series

If you're a MiFans, looking at the Xiaomi 12S Pro, you'll easily notice the familiar appearance of this phone. Not too unfamiliar, indeed, this is the design language of the Xiaomi 12 Pro. However, unlike the Xiaomi 12 Pro versions in Black, Blue, Pink, and Green, the Xiaomi 12S Pro is equipped with a color palette that is somewhat more innovative, with a completely new color replacing the Blue color in the 12 Pro version, it's White. This is also the biggest change in the design process of the Xiaomi 12S Pro this time.

The rear of the Xiaomi 12S Pro still carries the familiar design language of the standard Xiaomi 12 series products. Not following the trend, the Xiaomi 12S Pro still aims for user comfort by equipping the back with two versions: frosted glass and leather, along with a softly curved metal frame. Not only that, this is an 8-core processor, manufactured on a 4nm process, and is an upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. With this chip, the CPU of the Xiaomi 12S Pro has been upgraded by 33% and the GPU by 30% compared to the Xiaomi 12S version released at the same time.

Moreover, understanding consumer needs and improving shortcomings from the previous generation, Xiaomi 12S Pro has been equipped with a more advanced cooling system to minimize heat during prolonged use, thereby addressing the overheating issue caused by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip that the Xiaomi 12 Pro version encountered. All of this indicates that Xiaomi 12S Pro will be one of the formidable smartphones in the high-end smartphone market!

Having a powerful chip also allows Xiaomi 12S Pro to have higher peak performance to handle heavier tasks such as playing high-configured games. Although the battery capacity is somewhat modest and not upgraded, Xiaomi 12S Pro has been optimized by the manufacturer with software enhancements to achieve longer usage times. Additionally, the device comes with a 120W fast charger, and according to the manufacturer's announcement, this smartphone is capable of charging from 0 to 100% in just 18 minutes. This is a significant advantage compensating for the relatively modest battery capacity.

Xiaomi 12S Pro's camera receives a substantial upgrade with three 50 MP lenses

The camera system on Xiaomi 12S Pro undergoes significant hardware and algorithmic improvements, with specific specifications as follows:

• The main camera features a 50 MP resolution, 1/1.28-inch sensor size, OIS stabilization, and Sony IMX707 sensor.

The specifications may seem familiar to you, but Xiaomi has upgraded the camera system of Xiaomi 12S Pro significantly, especially after the collaboration with Leica. Equipped with the Sony IMX707 sensor combined with the top-notch image quality from the renowned camera manufacturer Leica, I believe Xiaomi 12S Pro can produce high-detail and visually stunning artistic masterpieces.

Additionally, Xiaomi 12S Pro is equipped with a 32 MP front camera. This is quite a high resolution for a selfie sensor, and with this resolution, the device will deliver sharp, dazzling selfies, making it a perfect companion for the social media life!

Xiaomi 12S Pro has been priced by the company in the Chinese market as follows for each memory variant:

Xiaomi 12S Pro packs a powerful configuration with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 or Dimensity 9000

According to leaks from Gizmochina, Xiaomi 12S Pro is set to offer improved performance over Xiaomi 12 Pro by featuring the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which sounds quite enticing, doesn't it? Additionally, around May, Gizmochina speculated that Xiaomi 12S Pro might also come with a Dimensity 9000 variant. This speculation arises from IMEI certification where information about a Xiaomi phone with model number 2207122MC appeared, and the device has also received approval from China's 3C authority.

Having both Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000 variants for Xiaomi 12S Pro somewhat allows us users to choose our favorite phone according to our needs. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is ideal for gaming, high graphics tasks, while Dimensity 9000 suits daily tasks, filming, photography, optimizing battery life, stability, and cool performance.

Whether it's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 or Dimensity 9000, I firmly believe Xiaomi 12S Pro can easily handle work tasks, daily usage, as well as smoothly run any game on the market.

Another article from Gizmochina reveals that Xiaomi 12S Pro will feature 12 GB RAM, 256 GB internal storage, sufficient for multitasking and data storage. This source also discloses that Xiaomi 12S Pro will have a 4,500 mAh battery, slightly less than Xiaomi 12 Pro (4,600 mAh). However, I believe this capacity is enough for a day's use. It's quite regrettable that Xiaomi 12S Pro will only support 67 W fast charging instead of 120 W like Xiaomi 12 Pro, but since this is just a leak, let's wait for the official launch to confirm this information!

Being an upgraded version in terms of specifications, I believe the camera of Xiaomi 12S Pro will retain the same specs and features as the Xiaomi 12 Pro, with main, telephoto, and ultra-wide sensors all having 50 MP resolution. Personally, I think these specifications are sufficient for an impressive photography experience.

• Battery: 4,500 mAh. 67 W fast charging.

Xiaomi 12S Pro concept will have a design similar to Xiaomi 12 Pro

The name says it all, Xiaomi 12S Pro is one of the devices in the Xiaomi 12 Series, so its appearance will also feature the characteristic and familiar traits of this line. As I mentioned earlier, Xiaomi 12S Pro is an upgraded version in terms of specifications compared to Xiaomi 12 Pro, so it's highly likely that the device will still have a design similar to that of Xiaomi 12 Pro, with any differences possibly being minor details or new colors added by the manufacturer.

Although there's no innovation in terms of design, I find the appearance of the Xiaomi 12 series this year very impressive due to its minimalist, elegant, and user-friendly nature.

Certainly, due to no changes in appearance, the device still retains a 6.73-inch display, quite large for comfortable operation. In terms of display capabilities, I believe Xiaomi 12S Pro will still be impressive with its LTPO AMOLED panel, 120 Hz refresh rate combined with various sophisticated display technologies, providing users with a more vivid usage experience as Xiaomi 12 Pro has achieved before.

When will Xiaomi 12S Pro be released? How much is Xiaomi 12 Pro?

Regarding the release date, according to Gadgets Now, Xiaomi 12S Pro will be launched on July 27th with a price of 54,990 RS (approximately 16.3 million VND), nearly the same as the price of Xiaomi 12 Pro released earlier. However, I personally believe the device will be priced slightly higher at around 17.3 million VND, which is reasonable.
