Step 1: Right-click on the Taskbar, select Task Manager. In the Task Manager window, click on the Processes tab. Here, find the CamRecorder.exe or CamtasiaStudio.exe process and click on End task to terminate the process.
Step 2: Press Windows + R to open the Run window.
Step 3: Type 'regedit' into it and press Enter to open the Registry Editor window.
Step 4: Navigate to the path below:

- For Camtasia 2019: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio\19.0
- For Camtasia 2018: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio\18.0
- For Camtasia 9: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio\18.0

Step 5: Find and right-click on the 19.0, 9.0, or 8.0 folder in the left pane, then click Delete.
