The latest IOS version is causing frustration for iPhone users with laggy and slow keyboards, especially when trying to type in Vietnamese. Follow the steps below to resolve the iPhone keyboard lag issue.
1. Fixing iPhone Keyboard Lag
The new IOS operating system frequently encounters issues, and IOS 15 and 16 versions make the iPhone keyboard lag, causing delays in inputting data. Specifically, the iPhone keyboard often lags when entering passwords on IOS system apps. However, the keyboard lag issue on the iPhone can be addressed by disabling some features.
Step 1: Open the Settings on your iPhone and select General => Keyboard to view keyboard settings.
Step 2: In the Keyboard settings, disable the following features to prevent iPhone keyboard lag:
- Auto Correction
- Spell Check
- Predictive Text
By turning off these features, the iPhone keyboard will operate smoothly when entering passwords in apps and messaging others. Additionally, disabling unnecessary features on the iPhone keyboard improves its stability and reduces errors.

Step 1: Open Settings => General => Keyboard to access keyboard settings. Then, choose Keyboards and select Vietnamese – Telex for configuration.
Step 2: In the Vietnamese – Telex keyboard input settings, choose the following options:
- QWERTZ
- AZERTY
- QWERTY
Step 3: Afterward, go back to the keyboard to select the Edit (1) option and drag the Vietnamese – Telex keyboard to the top (2). Finally, choose Done (3) to save the settings.
