In Windows 10, users are automatically provided with Windows Defender as the default security tool. Developed by Microsoft, this tool aims to safeguard your operating system by combating viruses and malware, making it suitable for the current scenario of rapidly spreading threats like the WannaCry virus. Windows Defender is consistently accessible via the Windows 10 Taskbar. While you can hide the Windows Defender icon on Windows 10 to avoid notifications, such as when it alerts about maximum screen brightness, suggesting a reduction to save battery, this method does not address the maximum screen brightness issue in the Windows Defender Report. To effectively resolve this issue, users need to follow the straightforward instructions below.
Steps to Fix Maximum Screen Brightness Issue in Windows Defender Report:
Step 1: Press Start or the Windows key on your keyboard. Type Power Options and press open Power Options.
Step 2: In the Power Options interface, click on Change plan Settings in the marked power scheme. In the image, it is Balanced.
Step 3: Here, pay attention to the Adjust plan Brightness section which is set to maximum.
Step 4: Drag the Adjust plan Brightness slider to 50%. Perform this on both On Battery and Plugged in. Finally, click Save Changes to save the operation.
