According to the insights shared by user u/Junichi, they inadvertently converted a large quantity of Primogems into Intertwined Fate. However, this user also mentioned that it's still possible to revert the exchanged Primogems – something that seemed unlikely.
According to this player, after accidentally exchanging, there are four main steps that players need to take immediately:
1. Send an email to Hoyoverse as quickly as possible.
2. Clearly outline the mishap of exchanging Primogems for Intertwined Fate succinctly.
3. Provide specific screenshots as evidence. These images should also include screenshots before the mistaken exchange occurred.
4. Do not use any Intertwined Fate. This is the most crucial aspect of all.
Additionally, this player mentions that Hoyoverse will inquire about the time (server time zone) when the incident occurred. This also means that if a player attempts to exploit any loophole to obtain free Fate, it will be detected immediately.
Standard banners and Intertwined Fate are gradually being 'neglected' in Genshin Impact. Players can still obtain characters from standard banners within character banners. Additionally, the value of Acquaint Fate and Intertwined Fate is equivalent, hence, standard banners have become extremely unattractive in the eyes of players.
According to recent leaks, upcoming updates in Genshin may introduce new features or gacha mechanics for standard banners, helping players spend fewer Primogems, or even none at all. However, this information has not been confirmed.
