Currently, there's no official response from TeamViewer or patch updates, so follow the steps below to temporarily resolve this issue.

Fixing protocol negotiation failed error when connecting on TeamViewer
Currently, changing the host file in the system is the only way to enable the Remote Control feature in TeamViewer. Therefore, we'll proceed to change the host file.
Note: You must change the host file on both computers.
Step 1: Access the computer using the default address below: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Step 2: Right-click on the host file and select Open With.
Step 3: In the selection menu, click on Notepad to open.
Step 4: Click here to retrieve the entire code, then copy it into Notepad.

With this method, you'll be able to connect TeamViewer's remote control feature normally, ensuring both computers connect using this method while waiting for TeamViewer to fix the issue. Alternatively, you can try controlling your computer with Chrome Remote.
