When using the Skype application on your computer, encountering errors is inevitable. One such issue is the Skype video not working on Windows 10. Step 3: On the right side of the screen -> drag the mouse to select apps that can access your camera -> also switch the status to ON.
Next, move the mouse downwards -> and also switch Skype to ON.
Lastly, you need to restart to complete the setup process, then check again for Skype video playback.

To activate your computer's Webcam and ensure the Webcam feature is always on, follow these steps:
Step 1: Right-click on the Start button (the Win flag icon) -> select Device Manager
Step 2: The Device Manager interface appears -> navigate to the Cameras section -> then right-click and choose Enable device to activate the device.
After activating the device, return to the Settings
You will witness the active state of your Skype camera.
4. Troubleshoot video not opening with Skype

Another window interface will appear -> click again on Reset to confirm the application reset.
After completing the reset -> restart your computer and check the Skype video to see if it's functioning.
6. Update webcam driver to fix video not opening issue
If the webcam driver is missing, outdated, or malfunctioning... you can update the webcam driver following the instructions provided below.
Step 1: Right-click on Start (the Win flag icon) -> select Device Manager
Step 2: The Device Manager interface appears -> go to the Cameras section -> then right-click and choose Update driver to update the driver
If the Cameras driver is already up-to-date but still malfunctioning, you can select Uninstall device to uninstall -> then you can follow similar steps to update to the latest driver.
Step 3: In this step, you will see an interface allowing you to choose between automatically searching for the driver on the Internet or manually selecting a driver from your computer.
