1. Recovering the This PC icon on Windows 10
Step 1: Before retrieving the missing My Computer or This PC icon in this case, we just need to show the Desktop icons first. Right-click on the Desktop > then select Show Desktop icons.
Right after that, you'll search and immediately see the This PC icon.
Step 2: If you find your Desktop too cluttered, why not organize them according to the instructions below.
Step 3: Still, right-click on the Desktop but this time click on Auto arrange icons to let the computer automatically rearrange them.

Step 1: Similarly on Windows 7, first, we need to display all desktop icons by right-clicking outside the screen and selecting Show desktop icons.

Step 2: If you still don't see the icon anywhere, press StartMenu, right-click on Computer, and select Show on Desktop.
