1. Fixing TV channel scanning issue and channel loss
Channel scanning is a fundamental procedure to perform right after you purchase a TV. However, many users encounter difficulties in scanning channels. Below is a basic guide on how to scan TV channels.
1. Ensure you have selected the correct input source for the TV
Modern TVs today are not just limited to a few preset TV channels but also allow users to connect to various other devices such as USB, computers, disc players, etc.
Therefore, the TV will only initiate channel scanning in the setup menu if you have selected the correct input source, which is the TV channel.
To select, press the SOURCE, INPUT, or buttons with arrow and circular symbols, arrow and square symbols... (depending on the TV brand), then choose an appropriate input source.

Typically, at this step, you would select TV. Alternatively, for some other TVs, you may choose DVB-T2, ATV, DTV...

To ensure thorough channel scanning, you should sequentially scan in each channel mode. Specifically, select Analog and Digital channel scanning simultaneously, as well as scanning with ATV and DVB-T2. If you're using cable TV, then choose Cable scanning.
2. Purchase a digital set-top box or a TV with DVB-T2
Currently, the government is rolling out DVB-T2 coverage, replacing conventional analog channels with digital channels. Therefore, some provinces have already shut down analog channels, and in the future, all provinces will transition to DVB-T2 channels.
If your household is in an area where channels have been shut down, and your TV doesn't have DVB-T2, and you're not using any paid TV services (cable TV, digital TV, internet TV)... then you won't be able to scan channels anymore.
In this case, if you want to scan channels, you'll need to purchase a digital set-top box or a new TV with DVB-T2.
3. The number of scannable channels also depends on your geographical location and the quality of your antenna
If your household is in a rural area with poor coverage or using old antennas, antennas of poor quality... then the number of received channels will be limited, especially DVB-T2 channels.
Therefore, you need to ensure you have a good antenna and select the appropriate frequency, direction, rotate the antenna multiple times to receive more channels.
4. Manual channel scanning
The channel scanning mode on all TVs today has 2 channel scanning modes: automatic scanning and manual scanning. Usually, users will choose automatic scanning.
However, in some cases where the signal is weak, automatic scanning will yield very few channels. At this time, you should try switching to manual channel scanning (scanning manually) to not miss any channels.

5. Restore factory settings, reset the TV, and try scanning channels again
One of the simple methods that can help you troubleshoot issues on your TV, including channel loss, is to restore factory settings and reset the TV.
So if you've tried all 4 methods above and the TV is still missing channels, reset and scan channels again from the beginning (including both automatic and manual scanning). If it still doesn't work, you may need to contact the manufacturer's warranty center for repair advice.
