[Flops of 2021 - Part 3] Godfall and the Initial Disappointment on PS5
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy, a remake of the GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas trilogy, was officially launched in mid-November. Instead of garnering community support, it sparked controversy among gamers worldwide. Many gamers continued to share clips highlighting errors, bugs, and performance issues of the GTA Remastered trilogy.

Specifically on the renowned review platform Metacritic, the GTA Remastered trilogy received a User Score of 'dreadful' with a mere 0.5 points. This rating is even lower than the fiasco of Cyberpunk 2077 last year, which scored a 1.9 User Score. Despite Metacritic's efforts to curb review bombing, there have been hundreds of negative reviews concerning this GTA Remastered trilogy. As of now, nearly 6 thousand negative reviews from gamers exist for the PC version of the GTA Remastered trilogy, and the count is rapidly increasing.
The most heavily criticized aspects in these reviews are the multitude of bugs in the GTA Remastered trilogy and the graphics quality failing to meet expectations, poorly optimized even on the latest console systems like PS5 and Xbox Series X. Indeed, many gamers feel profound disappointment towards Rockstar for releasing the GTA Remastered trilogy laden with numerous errors, especially considering the significantly better quality of the original version released 20 years ago.

After the disastrous launch of the GTA Remastered trilogy, according to Nintendo Life, gamers are flocking to demand Rockstar Games refund the $60 they had to spend on the 'chaotic mess of GTA: The Trilogy.' Numerous refund requests have poured in from PC gamers; however, they are essentially worthless as Rockstar Games recently removed the GTA Remastered trilogy from its Rockstar Launcher.
