2. Reasons for water purifier foaming
Water supply source interruption
The water purifier needs to ensure a stable water supply source when operating. Therefore, sudden loss of water due to depletion or blockage of the water line can disrupt the machine's operation. In such cases, air bubbles may appear at the water tap and drain line.
Water supply pressure too weak
The water purifier should be installed lower than the family's water storage tank, about 3m or more, to create enough pressure to push water through the filters. When the water supply pressure is too weak, water may not pass through the filters, especially the 4th filter - the RO membrane. Insufficient water supply may cause the water purifier to foam.
Incorrect installation, use, and replacement of filter cartridges
When first purchasing the machine, users often start it up before the system is filled with water and without purging the filter system, leading to the appearance of air bubbles. The water at this time still contains a lot of dirt and accompanying air bubbles. Additionally, improperly replacing filter cartridges is also a common cause of this issue.
3. Remedies for water purifier foaming
In general, to reduce the occurrence of unfiltered water and foaming in the water purifier, you need to pay attention to specific factors during the installation, usage, and replacement of the machine's components.
Moreover, when detecting foaming in the water purifier due to factors related to water lines, filter cartridges, etc., you can quickly address it with the following simple steps:
Check the water supply line
First, turn off the power, shut off the water supply valve, and check the water supply line as well as the water pressure, ensuring that water is still supplied evenly to the filtration system.
If the water tank is empty, it needs to be filled with water. If there are leaks or blockages in the pipeline, they need to be addressed immediately.
Check the operation of the filtration system
Starting from the RO membrane, perform the following steps:
Close the pressure tank valve, remove the front connector of this filter to release any air in the filter cup. Then, tighten the filter cup but not too tight, leaving 1-2 turns loose. Plug in and reopen the pressure tank valve to fill the cup with water, pushing out all the air. Then, tighten the filter cup as usual.
For coarse core filters 1, 2, 3, perform the same steps.
Replace the new filter cartridge
If you have completed all the steps above and still cannot resolve the issue of the water purifier foaming, proceed to replace the system with a new filter to ensure the quality of the water output.
