Skype is a software for free messaging, calling, and chatting on various devices like computers, laptops, and phones, replacing previous communication platforms like Yahoo Messenger and Viber. These OTT platforms have become essential for staying connected with friends and family. Besides Skype, Zalo is another popular app, especially among young users. However, forgetting passwords is common, and if you're struggling to recover your Skype password, follow these simple steps provided by Mytour.
Step 1: Launch Skype, and on the login interface, click on Problems signing in?
Step 2: When the browser prompts for login issues, enter your email address, username, or Skype phone number in the required field and click Continue.
Step 3: Next, your Skype account information will appear. If you've forgotten your Skype password and want to reset it, select Reset password.
Step 4: Choose a reason for resetting your password. Here, select I forgot my password and click Next.
Step 5: Enter the captcha code in the required field and click Next.
Step 6: Choose how you want to receive the security code, whether through email, text message, or a phone call. Once selected, click Send code to proceed to the next step.
Step 7: Access your email address to retrieve the security code.
Step 8: Return to the Skype password recovery interface, enter the security code in the required field, and click Next.
Step 9: Enter your new password in the first box and confirm the new password once more before clicking Next.

- Your new password must not match any recent passwords you've used and must be at least 8 characters long, prioritizing a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters to enhance security.
You'll see a completion notification interface for resetting your Skype account password. Click Next to finish the password recovery process and log in to Skype immediately, starting your conversations with colleagues, family, and friends.
Additionally, for users of older versions of Skype, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Skype, Click Can't access your account?, a webpage will open, which is Skype's homepage.
Step 2: Enter the Email address you used to register your account. Click Send Email
Step 3: The manufacturer will send a code to the Email address you just entered. Click Enter Code
Step 4: Check your Email, enter the code, and click Submit
Step 5: Change your password in the Create a new password. field
- New password: Enter your new password.
- Repeat password: Re-enter the password you just registered above.
Click Change password and sign in to update your password and directly log into your Skype account.
