Faker's exceptional professionalism garners both respect and concern among fans.
When discussing players with the utmost professionalism in the League of Legends community, Faker immediately comes to mind. Throughout his career, Faker has never stirred up any controversies that would tarnish his image, T1, or the LCK region. In fact, Faker avoids emotional entanglements and limits personal connections with colleagues, devoting himself entirely to T1 and League of Legends.
Recently, another story surfaced about Faker's professionalism, shared by the former CEO of Riot's Korean branch, leaving audiences both impressed and apprehensive. Specifically, the former CEO stated: 'Last year, during the 2022 World Championship Finals, while we were at the hotel, around 4 a.m., the fire alarm went off, and everyone panicked and rushed outside. But when we checked, Faker was nowhere to be found. We thought he hadn't managed to escape and couldn't reach him by phone, which made us very worried.'
The CEO continued: 'But then, Faker appeared, incredibly calm, wearing his T1 uniform. We immediately asked why he was late and why he was wearing the T1 uniform, to which Faker simply replied: 'There are certainly many fans outside, so I thought I should wear the team uniform.' After that, despite there being many other players, people only surrounded Faker.'
The story from the former Riot CEO both delights and deeply concerns audiences. Faker's professionalism is beyond reproach. However, even in emergency situations, his composure, while admirable, may sometimes underestimate the consequences. Fortunately, Faker remained unharmed, showcasing his captaincy of T1's professionalism that fans can only admire.
For Faker - a player who has dedicated his entire career to T1, LCK, and League of Legends; professionalism must be demonstrated at all times. Perhaps that's why, despite less-than-ideal results in recent years, Faker remains an enduring monument that virtually no one has been able to replace, at least up to the present moment.
