In the upcoming period, there's a strong possibility that FPX will once again be the chosen team for an LCK player.
The end-of-season transfer market in 2022 is approaching its final days. While LCK teams are busy finalizing their rosters, even those that announced early like Gen.G Esports and Nongshim RedForce may have already begun training. However, the LPL region, the counterpart to LCK, remains completely silent. Teams like FunPlus Phoenix, who recently bid farewell to almost their entire main roster, including Tian, haven't announced any new names yet.

Recently, on a streaming channel, former FPX player Doinb revealed that FPX might welcome another foreign player from LCK soon. Doinb also hinted that the player could be none other than the former stars of T1 and Gen.G Esports - the jungler Clid. As known, FPX parted ways with their entire lineup, including Tian, and in a similar fashion, Gen.G only retained Ruler. However, while players like Bdd and Rascal found new homes, Clid remains unemployed.

Doinb stated: 'He (Clid) wants to compete in LCK, but no team has a slot. He's willing to join a bottom-tier team like DragonX, but they have already finalized their roster. His only option is to move to LPL. I'm not sure if he'll play for FPX, but here, he has only two choices, and FPX is one of them.'
Doinb reveals Clid's possible next destination could be FPX
Furthermore, a renowned blogger specializing in LPL transfer news has disclosed that there's a 99% likelihood of Clid joining FPX. Regardless, the former T1 player undoubtedly seeks opportunities to compete for titles and showcase his skills. In a team undergoing restructuring like FPX, Clid will find more opportunities to shine.

If Clid indeed makes the move to FPX, he will be the next foreign import for the team, following in the footsteps of Nuguri, GimGoon, and Doinb. Among them, Doinb has been the most successful. GimGoon experienced a decline in performance after winning the 2019 Worlds, while Nuguri left LPL empty-handed with bitterness. Clid will have to give his utmost effort to both secure his place and claim titles in LPL if he truly aims for 'Middle Progression' in the future.
