Starting December 15th, Performance Mode, also known as Performance Mode, will be available in Fortnite's settings menu. In a blog post, Epic stated that this new mode allows the game to 'run better than ever and maintain smooth frame rates.' It achieves this by adjusting certain image quality settings, thereby reducing the workload on the computer's CPU and GPU.
If you're playing Fortnite on a computer that barely meets the game's minimum system requirements, it will prompt you to try this feature the next time you open the game. You can disable the Performance Mode at any time afterward.
Providing an example of what this feature can do, Epic claims a mid-range laptop with an integrated Intel UHD 620 GPU and an Intel i5 CPU from 2018 saw an increase from averaging 24 fps to 61 fps when enabling Performance Mode.

That's not the only 'favor' for underpowered PCs. Epic has also integrated a new feature in the Epic Games Launcher that allows players to choose not to download the high-resolution textures of the game. On most systems, this will help you save about 14GB of storage - a significant chunk of memory saved after Epic recently streamlined Fortnite's PC settings to make it take up less space.
In addition, for Android enthusiasts, Microsoft Edge has announced that the app on Android OS has added the feature of syncing browsing history and tabs.
