Regarding Dark Mode, bigger improvements will come from standalone apps as the main screen seems unchanged. The Dock at the bottom is a darker blurred wallpaper instead of white as before, possibly a new wallpaper added to fit the darker theme better. In the app drawer, Apple seems to have used a truly dark background, which will affect OLED panels on premium iPhones.
Other aspects redesigned include screenshot annotation tools, currently using the user's wallpaper instead of gray and allowing easy access to markup tools. On the iPad, the container for those tools can be dragged around the screen.

Apple will officially announce the changes on iOS 13 in the main keynote at WWDC next Monday, along with updates for macOS, watchOS & tvOS. The addition of Dark Mode seems to be a trend lately, Google will also add a dark mode and the upcoming Android Q version.
