Experience the magic at Disneyland Hong Kong

Opened since 2015, Disneyland Hong Kong stands as one of the two largest theme parks in Hong Kong (the other being Ocean Park). Despite being the smallest Disney park in the world, Disneyland Hong Kong still offers tourists and families a complete day of Disney fun with 7 themed areas revolving around beloved Disney movies: Main Street, U.S.A, Fantasyland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point, and Toy Story Land.
Not to mention the newly opened Iron Man Experience area - the only exclusive area found at Disneyland Hong Kong. So, is there any reason NOT to visit the park?

The Best Time to Visit Disneyland Hong Kong

As one of the country's largest amusement parks, Disneyland Hong Kong is naturally bustling with locals and tourists on any given day. However, there's a golden rule for most amusement parks worldwide: avoid weekends, as that's when locals flock to the parks more.
While Klook can't guarantee the park will be less crowded on weekdays, generally, you'll experience shorter queues!

Additionally, the busiest time at the park is during the Lunar New Year, the main holiday of the year. Christmas and Halloween are also major holidays, but they're not as crowded as Lunar New Year.
Ticket Purchase

You can buy tickets at ticket counters, but you'll have to wait in long queues, sometimes for 30 minutes or more.
The best option for you is to book tickets online! In fact, Disneyland Hong Kong's website often has many ticket deals, but most of these deals usually appear 'quietly,' so you have to regularly check the website if you want to buy a deal! There are also some online providers selling these tickets. But be careful, because most of these sites are not certified ticket providers and the tickets purchased here may become invalid.
Instead, you can purchase tickets through Klook, besides exclusive discounts, you also get 'Instant Confirmation,' meaning you can skip the queue and enter right away. Klook is the simplest and most convenient way to buy tickets for you! Not only that, tickets sold through Klook are 'Open' tickets. You just need to choose between a 1-day or 2-day ticket, and then you can explore Disneyland on any day you want!

What is a Fastpass Ticket?

A Fastpass Ticket works like an Express Pass at Universal Studios. It's the ticket that allows you to skip queues at attractions! You can purchase Fastpass tickets at ticket counters or online at the Disneyland Hong Kong website.
At Disneyland Hong Kong, there are 3 attractions where you can use Fastpass tickets:
- Hyper Space Mountain
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Iron Man Experience
While you won't wait too long at the first 2 points, at the newly opened Iron Man Experience, which is unique in the world, it's a different story, and also a worthwhile reason for you to choose to buy a Fastpass ticket. You'll learn more about this exciting attraction below!
Themed Areas and Attractions
Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland features 2 attractions where you can use Fastpass tickets: Space Mountain and Iron Man Experience. Stating that, you already know how crowded this area will be, another reason for you to buy a Fastpass ticket.
Space Mountain is a high-speed roller coaster with all the drops and sharp turns like any other roller coaster, but wait, this roller coaster runs 'entirely' indoors, not outdoors like the ones you usually ride. You won't know what's coming up next, and that's the most thrilling part!

The Iron Man Experience is a newly opened 3-D motion simulation area, also the first Marvel-themed expansion that Disneyland has. Oh, and I think Klook also mentioned that this is the world's first Marvel-themed attraction, right? Only at Disneyland, though.
At Iron Man Experience, you can explore Tony Stark's latest inventions, and even fly with the Iron Wing device. This experience also has a touch of Hong Kong, as you'll 'fly' over iconic Hong Kong landmarks such as the Tsing Ma Bridge, Victoria Harbour, and some others.

Moreover, the newly opened Star Wars Takeover has attracted Jedi knights of all ages to Tomorrowland. Immerse yourself in the Star Wars world as you pass through Tomorrowland with your favorite characters, Chewbacca, R2D2, and of course, the Stormtroopers. You can even enjoy a Star Wars-themed meal with the Darth Vader Burger Combo. End your tour in this area by shopping for cute items at the stores.

Explore the Adventureland, the largest Adventureland among all Disneyland parks.

Fun-fact: Did you know? Adventureland at Disneyland Hong Kong is the largest Adventureland among all Disneyland parks.
Adventureland is home to attractions like Lion King, Tarzan, and the Jungle Cruise. Oh, and in case you haven't noticed, it's a 'jungle' out there! Moreover, the Jungle River Cruise is one of the park's most coveted experiences, so even if you're not a relaxation type, you should take this journey!

The Jungle River Cruise takes you through some of the world's great rivers, like the Mekong in Asia, the Amazon, and many others. However, beware of the Cannibal and Headhunter tribes along the way! Your journey will be guided by a Disneyland character, and you're sure to hear some hilarious and fascinating stories.

Explore the thrilling Grizzly Gulch, a homage to the untamed Wild West.

Grizzly Gulch is the Wild West's counterpart in Disneyland Hong Kong. It boasts the ambiance of the rugged frontier, complete with 19th-century-style buildings, mountain mines, gold prospectors, and even its very own jailhouse.

Visitors are welcomed by beloved Disney characters dressed in authentic Wild West attire. Notable attractions in this area include the thrilling Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars ride, where you'll board mine cars and race around Grizzly Mountain, encountering plenty of surprises along the way.

Embark on a mystical journey to Mystic Point, a realm of wonder and mystery.

Mystic Point, unveiled in 2013, offers chilling attractions and eerie adventures true to Disney's signature style. Here lies Mystic Manor, a haunted estate unique to Disneyland Hong Kong.
Journey through familiar Disney tales at Mystic Manor, featuring special effects and artistic marvels, creating a blend of old and new haunts that sets it apart from other haunted houses in Disneyland parks.

Immerse yourself in the wonders of Mystic Point, home to the remarkable Explore’s Club restaurant, offering a diverse array of Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian cuisines, including the famous Hainanese chicken rice, all Halal-certified!

Toy Story Land

Step into the vibrant world of Toy Story Land, where beloved characters come to life in colorful splendor, welcoming visitors to their nostalgic adventures. And of course, the highlight of this area is none other than the Toy Soldier Parachute Drop!

This ride offers you a panoramic view of the Park and more, so even if not too thrilling, Toy Soldier Parachute is still one of the greatest park relaxations. You'll be instructed to drop your items, but if you have a GoPro or phone mount, capture the scenery before you parachute down!
Toy Story Land
Fantasyland

This is the home of the iconic and earliest Disney characters, and you'll surely feel like you're stepping into Disney's world from long ago in Fantasyland. No kidding, with Dumbo, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and of course, the beloved Mickey and Minnie, what's more Disney than this magical realm!
Furthermore, the castles and homes of Disney characters you've seen in movies are located here, where you can find the Sleeping Beauty Castle, the most 'Instagrammable' spot at Disneyland Hong Kong.

If you're looking to meet and snap pictures with your childhood favorite characters, head to Fantasy Gardens, where this 'idol meet-up' is hosted. There'll also be a professional photographer on hand to help you capture those priceless moments.
Fantasyland is where you'll find many rides and attractions mostly geared towards kids, and because there are plenty of attractions in this area, you'll spend quite a bit of time here!
Fantasyland
Main Streets U.S.A

With the 20th-century American architecture, Main Street bears similarities to the authentic Main Street in Orlando. However, this Main Street area also incorporates some local influences, such as souvenir shops beloved by locals like Tsum Tsum (a popular souvenir like Duffy in Tokyo) and local cuisine restaurants.

Main Street at Disneyland Hong Kong, much like Main Street in other Disneylands, serves as the gateway to the park and doesn't feature many rides or attractions like other areas. Disney characters often greet visitors right at the heart of the area. Note that because this is the park entrance, it tends to be very crowded, so consider skipping character meet-and-greets in this area.
Main Street

Disneyland Hong Kong offers numerous impressive shows throughout the day to enhance the stories and characters of Disney you love.
There are two daily parades, Flights of Fantasy and Disney Paint The Night. Flights of Fantasy typically starts at 3:00 PM while Paint The Night begins at 7:45 PM near Storybook Theatre in Fantasyland.

And don't miss the reenactment of the timeless animated classic – The Lion King. Festival of the Lion King is a 30-minute extravaganza featuring acrobatics and fantastic songs for the audience. Showtimes are at 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 4:30 PM, and 6:00 PM in Adventureland. First come, first served for seating, so arrive early to avoid the wait.
To commemorate Disneyland Hong Kong's 10th anniversary, the park introduced Mickey and the Wondrous Book! This 28-minute Broadway-style musical will bring you face-to-face with beloved Disney characters – including Princess Anna and Queen Elsa from 'Frozen' – and many wonderful musicians. The show is held at Storybook Theatre in Fantasyland, with performances at 11:45 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:30 PM, 5:00 PM, 6:15 PM, and 7:30 PM.

You can also meet Disney characters at various locations throughout the park all day long.
Klook Pro Tip: You can find most characters at Fantasyland or Town Square.
