- Gaming Experience on the Galaxy M53 5G
In this gaming experience section, I've selected four popular games: Arena of Valor, Genshin Impact, PUBG Mobile, and Call of Duty Mobile, to challenge the power of the Galaxy M53 5G. I'll also use the Perfdog software to measure the FPS of each game. You can find the data and related information here

- Arena of Valor
Starting with the MOBA game 'national arena' called Arena of Valor, the Galaxy M53 5G can adjust graphics settings to nearly maximum, and the FPS can also be set to the highest level. You can see the specific graphics settings I adjusted below!
With Dimensity 900, it seems like Liên Quân Mobile doesn't pose a challenge for the device. My gaming experience was incredibly smooth, with all movements, attacks, and skill casts being very responsive and fluid. The frame rate remains stable at 60 FPS even during intense battles with multiple opponents.
- PUBG Mobile
The survival shooting game PUBG Mobile is the next challenge I have for the Galaxy M53 5G. This device can handle graphics settings up to HDR with Ultra frame rate, but I prefer playing with the highest possible frame rate, so I've reduced the graphics to Smooth with Extreme frame rate.
I must say that the PUBG Mobile experience on the Galaxy M53 5G left me extremely satisfied. The average FPS reached 59.5 FPS. Actions like aiming, shooting, weapon switching, or driving were all smooth, without any stutter or frame drops. You can see more details about my gaming experience in the video below.
- Call of Duty Mobile
Diving into the realm of shooting games akin to Call of Duty Mobile, this title demands a machine with decent graphic processing capabilities. Setting the graphics to High and frame rate to Very High, I still sought the highest frame rate achievable, thus slightly reducing the graphics and pushing the frame rate to Maximum.
With Call Of Duty, it seems that this game hasn't been fully optimized for Dimensity chips yet, resulting in frame rate fluctuations ranging from 50 to 60 FPS. Nevertheless, touch controls like movement and aiming remain smooth without any hindrances. Hopefully, further optimization for Dimensity 900 chips will be implemented in the future.
- Embark on Adventures Together
The latest game I've dabbled in is Play Together, a choice many young folks have opted for during recent lockdowns. For this game, here's the setup I've found works best, feel free to take a peek!

Play Together allows Galaxy M53 5G to run at incredibly high frame rates, mostly over 100 FPS. Despite some fluctuations, at this frame rate, you'll hardly notice any stuttering or delays.
To sum it up, the Galaxy M53 5G provided me with a quite fulfilling gaming experience with the four aforementioned titles. Additionally, despite its lightweight nature compared to a large 6.7-inch screen device, I could comfortably game for extended periods. I assess that the Galaxy M53 5G is a highly compelling choice for performance-oriented smartphone users.

While there are still some minor drawbacks such as the back panel being prone to sweat and fingerprints, and some games not fully optimized to leverage the power of the Dimensity 900, I believe these drawbacks can be easily addressed without significantly impacting the overall user experience.

Samsung also provides a 25W fast charger for the Galaxy M53 5G, allowing users to save charging time. Below is the charging time test results for the Galaxy M53 5G from 0% to 100%:

As you can see, the total time to fully charge the Galaxy M53 5G is 1 hour and 50 minutes. I believe this is a reasonable charging time for a large 5,000mAh battery. Moreover, I usually have the habit of charging my smartphone overnight, so the charging time doesn't significantly affect my usage experience with the Galaxy M53 5G.
Galaxy M53 5G boasts a sleek design with a variety of impressive color options
In terms of appearance, the Galaxy M53 5G features a familiar design language found in Samsung's mid-range segment. While lacking groundbreaking innovations, this design is sleek and suitable for users of various ages.

The Galaxy M53 5G has a plastic back finished with a metal frame. Samsung seems to maintain a distinction with its flagship products, hence most mid-range offerings from the brand still feature a plastic back. However, thanks to the plastic back, the Galaxy M53 5G is relatively lightweight, weighing just over 170 grams, providing a comfortable grip.

The camera module of the Galaxy M53 5G is square-shaped, positioned at the top left corner of the back. Samsung's arrangement of the cameras is quite simple, and the camera module is softly rounded. Upon sight, it gives a more integrated look to the back. Additionally, this camera module doesn't protrude much from the back, ensuring peace of mind when placing the device on flat surfaces.

On the front side, the Galaxy M53 5G features a familiar hole-punch design for the display, protected by Gorilla Glass 5 for better scratch and impact resistance. The Galaxy M53 5G's display is quite large at 6.7 inches, with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. I consider this to be one of the best displays in the mid-range segment, considering its brightness, contrast, and color reproduction.

The edges of the Galaxy M53 5G don't have many notable features; the right edge houses the power button and volume rocker. I find this button layout positioned slightly higher than fingertip reach, sometimes making it a bit challenging to operate. The bottom edge still houses the speaker, microphone, and USB Type-C charging port.

Galaxy M53 5G's 108 MP camera captures every moment with precision
Let's quickly go through the camera specifications of the Galaxy M53 5G for your reference:

Galaxy M53 5G boasts a quad-camera setup, with the main sensor boasting a resolution of up to 108 MP. In my assessment, this camera system performs quite well, catering to the majority of users' photography needs. Let's now take a look at some photos I captured using the Galaxy M53 5G!

Under adequate lighting conditions, the Galaxy M53 5G's camera exhibits fast and accurate autofocus, capturing fine details well. The color reproduction is also quite accurate, without excessive processing. The autofocus speed of the Galaxy M53 5G is quite fast; I even tested capturing photos while moving in a car, and the images remained sharp and clear.

With photos taken using the ultra-wide camera, despite having only 8 MP resolution, the quality is still decent enough for me to share on social media for a 'live' experience. The plus point of images from this camera is that the details at the edges of the photo are preserved, with acceptable distortion.

The Galaxy M53 5G also features a macro camera for capturing objects at close distances. I tried taking photos with this camera and found that the results are moderately acceptable. In good lighting conditions, the camera focuses quite easily, although the color reproduction is not as vibrant and lively as photos taken with the main camera.

In indoor lighting conditions, photos taken with the Galaxy M53 5G have decent noise reduction, and it seems like the photos are processed to increase sharpness, giving a sharper appearance. The white balance capability of the Galaxy M53 5G is quite good in this scenario, with most photos showing colors that closely resemble reality.

In low light conditions, the Galaxy M53 5G produces well-exposed photos, but the edges of the photos or some dark areas may lack detail. The Galaxy M53 5G is also prone to shaking when taking photos in these conditions, so you need to hold the phone steady.
