A plethora of details about the specifications and release timing of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Plus has surfaced. Most of the insights have been disclosed by Ross Young, the CEO of the display supply chain, covering aspects from RAM capacity to under-display fingerprint technology, battery size, and more.
In an exclusive interview with YouTuber Greggles TV, Director Young revealed that the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Plus duo will feature the second-generation 3D Sonic Max fingerprint sensor from Qualcomm. The 3D Sonic Max sensor was introduced by Qualcomm in December 2019, with a larger size and the ability to recognize 2 fingerprints simultaneously.

The integrated fingerprint sensors on the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 seem to fall short of user expectations. However, with the inclusion of the new generation fingerprint sensor, which is 17 times larger, it promises significantly faster unlocking speeds. Moreover, the 3D Sonic Max sensor can recognize 2 fingerprints simultaneously, enhancing user security.
Young continues to reveal that the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Plus will retain the unchanged placement of the selfie camera compared to the Galaxy Note 10 series. This means the punch-hole housing the camera sensor on the display remains centered. Young had previously revealed that the Galaxy Note 20 features a 6.42-inch screen, while the Galaxy Note 20 Plus incorporates a 6.87-inch display.

Similar to the Galaxy S20 series, the Galaxy Note 20 lineup will be equipped with up to 16 GB of RAM. Young expects the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Plus to boast battery capacities ranging from 4,000 mAh to 5,000 mAh. The battery capacity is comparable to the Galaxy S20 series but surpasses the predecessor Galaxy Note 10.
Finally, Young touches upon the unveiling schedule; the Galaxy Note 20 series is set to debut in August alongside the Galaxy Fold 2, hitting the shelves by late August or early September. Does this information heighten your anticipation for the Galaxy Note 20 series?
