Now, a fresh leak has revealed render images of Galaxy Tab Active 5. Thanks to this, we get a close-up view of the design of this tablet.
Render Images of Galaxy Tab Active 5As you can see, Galaxy Tab Active 5 is an extremely durable tablet, so its 8-inch display is surrounded by thick bezels for protection and features capacitive buttons at the bottom edge for convenient operation with gloves. Notably, the touchscreen comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for enhanced protection.
Its back features an attractive textured pattern housing a single 13MP camera module on its own ring and accompanied by an LED flash. As a rugged device, Tab Active 5 is MIL-STD-810H certified for durability, IP68 rated for water and dust resistance, and can withstand drops of 1.2 meters due to the included protective casing.
Tab Active 5 will also support an S Pen with water and dust resistance, IP68 rated, to complement the tablet itself. Samsung is also rumored to provide Knox protection, facial recognition, or fingerprint scanning, and customizable programmable keys for quick access to frequently used apps or functions.
In terms of performance, this tablet is speculated to utilize the Exynos 1380 chip with up to 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal memory expandable via microSD card slot. A 5050mAh battery will power the device, and surprisingly, it's said to come pre-installed with Android 12 upon launch. Connectivity options will include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and GPS.
