GAM has officially set sail for SEA Games 31 with the goal of bringing home the gold for Vietnam.
With just a few days left, the League of Legends discipline at SEA Games 31 is about to kick off. Representing Team Vietnam this time is GAM Esports - the team that achieved an undefeated record in the Spring 2022 VCS and secured the championship. With the strength and form of the players reaching their peak, the gold medal is completely within the grasp of the yellow-and-black squad if they give it their all.

And on the morning of May 17th (Vietnam time), GAM set off for Hanoi to prepare for their intense 3-day competition. Although in the Southeast Asian region, there's hardly any team that can be considered a match for Vietnam, GAM's players still bear a lot of pressure from the expectations of their home audience. Not to mention, winning isn't enough as GAM also has to prove the position of VCS in the Southeast Asian League of Legends scene through the most convincing results.

In the announcement post of the departing players, many well-wishes from fans were directed towards the reigning champions of the Spring 2022 VCS. Most believe that GAM won't encounter too many difficulties in securing the gold medal but still hope the players remain focused.

Some other comments, however, focus on Kati's remarkably striking outfit as well as the beautiful jerseys of the Vietnamese League of Legends team.

In this edition of SEA Games 31, GAM will share the group with Malaysia and Laos. While these may not be overly formidable opponents compared to Vietnam, the lack of information about the opponents could pose a significant obstacle. However, as mentioned, with maximum focus in play, GAM can easily navigate through this group stage.
The opening match of the Vietnamese League of Legends team will be against Malaysia at 10 a.m. on May 20th. The group stage will be played in a round-robin format, with each match being a BO1. Then, the top 2 teams from each group will advance to the Semi-finals on May 21st. Finally, on the last day, May 22nd, will be the Grand Final and the Bronze medal match.
