(Motherland) - It turns out Levi continues to stay with GAM due to an unforeseen reason.
As it's widely known, there has been significant speculation surrounding Levi's potential move abroad during the final transfer window of the 2022 season. At that time, most spectators were hopeful that the captain of GAM Esports (GAM) would venture overseas. This was mainly because he wasn't considered particularly young anymore (compared to the general age of professional players), and this could potentially represent the peak of Levi's career.

However, following the conclusion of the transfer window, Levi remained to compete wearing GAM's colors in the VCS Spring 2023. Despite the considerable surprise, Vietnamese League of Legends (LMHT) enthusiasts all believe that GAM might have made an offer regarding salary and benefits that Levi couldn't refuse.
But recently, during a live conversation with Commentator (Caster) Hoang Luan on a live stream, GAM's COO Izumin disclosed the most significant reason behind Levi's decision to stay at GAM. Specifically, Izumin shared: 'In Levi's case, we all know he wants to go abroad. Levi also received numerous offers, and he reported them all to GAM. The leadership team is always ready to advise Levi.'

Izumin also mentioned that one of the conditions for Levi to compete in the upcoming ASIAD is that this player must play in the domestic league. Izumin also believes that's the crucial reason leading to Levi's decision to stay with GAM.
COO Izumin's revelation leaves even BLV Hoang Luan surprised. However, just like in other regions (LCK and LPL), calling up players competing abroad to join the ASIAD squad is no easy feat. When preparing the ASIAD roster (which was supposed to be held at the end of 2022), LCK didn't consider players who were abroad at that time (Doinb, Impact, Rookie, TheShy, Scout, Viper).

Levi staying at GAM can indeed be seen as a very advantageous factor for this team. GAM is also on a journey of rejuvenating its lineup, and if Levi were to suddenly leave, the reigning VCS champions would lack a figurehead to lead, only guiding the upcoming generation.
