Garena announces official release date for new Kalahari map in Free Fire

Developers at Garena Free Fire plan to release an update to upgrade the game to the latest version on January 1, 2020. Alongside some minor gameplay improvements, the update will also bring a new Elite pass, a new set of missions, and the latest map, Kalahari Wasteland, for the survival strategy game.

A formal announcement was made yesterday for Garena Free Fire, introducing the new map to provide players with a larger playground in the arid desert landscape. There had been speculations regarding the size of the Kalahari Free Fire map, but the developer has confirmed that Kalahari will be smaller compared to the two previous maps.

The new Kalahari map in Garena Free Fire

Kalahari, the newest addition to Garena Free Fire's map roster, promises to inject a fresh flavor into the survival gameplay. Being the smallest map among the three, it sets the stage for intense battles, catering to players with an aggressive playstyle.

In addition to the new Kalahari map, Garena Free Fire will introduce a brand-new Elite Pass and various supplementary adjustments, enhancing the gaming experience for players. This time, the Elite Pass revolves around the Samurai theme, with the developers offering 20 Fatal Badges as a commemorative New Year gift. These badges can be used to unlock exclusive rewards, including the new Fatal Blade game mode.
