Gather for Weekend Trekking to Admire the Golden Grass Fields in Dong Nai
Atop Chua Chan Mountain (also known as Gia Lao Mountain) in Xuan Loc District, Dong Nai Province, lies the golden grass fields, located approximately 91.1 km from Ho Chi Minh City towards Phan Thiet. With an elevation of 837 meters above sea level, this is the second tallest mountain in the Southern region. Seize the opportunity this weekend to trek together and admire the blossoming golden grass fields.
Transportation:
– Bus: You can go to Mien Dong Bus Station to buy tickets to Duc Linh, Binh Thuan. Get off at the gate of Chua Chan Mountain, then take a motorbike taxi to go an additional 3 km to the foot of the mountain.
– Motorbike: Follow Hanoi Highway – National Route 1A – Dau Giay Intersection – Me Bong Con Slope into Long Khanh Town area, from here, head straight to Xuan Loc and ask for directions to Chua Chan Mountain.

Upon reaching Chua Chan Mountain, you can park your vehicle at a local's house and begin the journey along the mountain, following the existing path next to the power lines, making it easy to ascend to the summit where the golden grass fields are located.



Those with good physical stamina will take about 3 hours to reach the summit. During this season, the blooming golden grass will leave you in awe.


The large rocks at the summit of the mountain will be an ideal spot for capturing picturesque images with the backdrop of the golden grass fields.



Here, you can have a panoramic view of the surroundings, feel the breeze, and immerse yourself in the swaying golden grass fields. Camping overnight at Chua Chan Mountain is also a good idea, where you can enjoy the fresh natural air and capture romantic sunset or sunrise scenes.
