After a long delay, Genshin Impact has determined the release date for version 2.7.
Due to the complex COVID-19 situation in China, Genshin Impact announced the postponement of version 2.7 update until the end of May. With quarantine measures relaxed in Shanghai, players can expect to experience version 2.7 by the end of this month.

Specifically, this announcement was made by miHoYo around 7 p.m. on May 19, 2022. Tomorrow evening, on May 20, 2022, a livestream introducing the content of Genshin Impact 2.7 will take place, and the update will be live at 5 a.m. on May 31, 2022, a Tuesday instead of the usual Wednesday.

Server maintenance for the version 2.7 update will commence at 5 a.m. on May 31, 2022 (Vietnam time) and last for approximately 5 hours. Character wish events, weapon wish events, and the Test Your Luck event in the current game will end at 05:59 on May 31, 2022 (UTC+8).
The duration of version 2.7 will be 6 weeks instead of being shortened as previously speculated by the player community. Therefore, version 2.8 is scheduled to be updated on July 13, 2022. After the end of the version 2.7 update maintenance, the maintenance of the 'Adepti's Abode' feature will also end, and Travelers can continue to use the feature as usual.

As usual, the livestream program introducing new content of Genshin Impact 2.7 will bring the latest information about version 2.7. It is highly likely to include new characters Yelan and Kuki Shinobu - two characters officially introduced in the version 2.7 prayer banner, as well as new events and story continuations in the Serenitea Pot.

The livestream will also give away 3 gift codes, each containing 100 Primogems and some other rewards. These Genshin Impact gift codes will expire on May 21, so don't forget to claim your rewards as soon as the livestream airs.
