The reasons why Genshin Impact characters don't require recharge efficiency are quite diverse – it could be due to not needing to use their Elemental Burst, requiring very little energy for their Elemental Burst, or because their 'teammates take care of everything.' Can you guess which category today's characters belong to?

Keqing, the 'Electric Kitty' in Genshin Impact, has become a fan favorite not just for her looks and personality, but also for her surprising power. As a Lightning DPS wielding a single sword, she used to rely heavily on charged attacks for damage, but somehow miHoYo made Keqing consume 25 stamina instead of the usual 20 for such characters. Consequently, for almost 2 years (from 1.0 to 2.8), Keqing remained a mediocre DPS character, only favored by the simp community.

However, everything changed in version 3.0. With the introduction of the Dendro element, Keqing specifically, and Lightning characters in general, suddenly became unexpectedly strong. The Reaction Enhancement greatly buffs Lightning damage, something that Superconduct fails to achieve. The Tenacity of the Millelith and Thundering Fury artifact sets were also updated with new reactions.
Moreover, as the meta of Genshin Impact gradually shifted towards quick swap team compositions, where each character appears for a short period, Keqing became a surprisingly interesting DPS due to her lack of field time. Furthermore, she doesn't even need efficient energy recharge since her burst costs only 40 energy, easily spammable as soon as the cooldown ends to deal massive damage to surrounding enemies.

Until now, both Raiden Shogun and Kuki Shinobu are still widely used by players according to their original design – Raiden as a field holder and energy generator, while Kuki serves as a decent healer. However, more and more players are swayed by the allure of green numbers from the Blossom Cloud reaction and build them towards elemental mastery, disregarding burst effectiveness altogether.

Building Raiden as a traditional carry can be quite cumbersome, as players need to focus on maximizing energy recharge by around 300% and carefully balance attack, crit rate, elemental damage... However, with Raiden's resurgence, all we need to do is stack EM stats for her. Similarly, the mid-tier healer Kuki Shinobu unexpectedly becomes a top-tier carry despite being just a 4-star character. As a result, both Raiden and Kuki Shinobu can be easily built to deal extremely high damage through Blossom Cloud without relying on energy recharge stats. The 'graduation score' for these characters is simply 1,000 EM.
Even after more than a year of understanding Blossom Cloud, players have grasped this reaction and started forming unconventional teams using Electro characters like Lisa, Beidou, or even Fischl. However, the two Inazuma characters remain top choices for single-target damage. If you feel lacking in damage for the 36-star Spiral Abyss, why not try building Kuki Shinobu in this direction today?
