In terms of content, Resident Evil Village takes place 3 years after the events of RE7. Ethan Winters and his daughter Rosemary are captured by Chris Redfield, but their transport vehicle crashes, leaving them lost. Ethan and must venture into the mysterious nearby village in search of his daughter, but it's no ordinary place – ruled by the Lycans and governed by 4 lords: Lady Dimitrescu, Salvatore Mreau, Karl Heisenberg, and Donna Beneviento.
Apart from the main game, Resident Evil Village also has an expansion called Shadow of Rose, focusing on Ethan Winters' daughter. It's unclear whether Capcom plans to bring this content to the iPhone 15 Pro – if they do, iOS gamers are in for a treat as it's an intriguing storyline.
Resident Evil 4 (Remake)
Recently, Capcom has consistently released 3 remakes for classic Resident Evil games, all of which were successful. Resident Evil 4 is the latest in this series and received high praise from both gamers and the media when it debuted on PC and consoles in March 2023. The game is being adapted for iPhone 15 Pro and is expected to be officially released later this year.
In this AAA title, players step into the shoes of special agent Leon Kennedy, heading to a secluded village in Spain to rescue Ashley Graham, the president's kidnapped daughter. Here, Leon discovers that the Los Illuminados cult has infected the villagers with a parasite called Las Plagas to control them.
And so, Leon's rescue mission turns into a fight for survival. He must search for Ashley, protect her, and find a way to escape. Luckily, the game has significantly improved Ashley's AI, making the player's experience much more enjoyable than the original version released in 2005. Mytour believes that iPhone 15 Pro users and above will appreciate this game.
Death Stranding
This might be the most surprising name at Apple's Wonderlust event. Death Stranding is a heavy 'delivery simulator' game with top-notch graphics and unique gameplay that made a big impact when first released on PS4 in 2019. After 4 years and multiple versions on PS5, Mac, PC, it now officially welcomes a version specifically designed for iPhone 15 Pro and above.
Despite the controversial gameplay of Death Stranding, it cannot be denied that it is another success from the mind of designer Hideo Kojima. In this game, players take on the role of a delivery guy who must deliver strange goods in a post-apocalyptic world, familiarizing themselves with a concept called 'Social Strand,' and playing multiplayer mode... alone.
It may sound contradictory, but it's actually easy to understand: even though you never see other players in the game, everything you do leaves a mark on the game world. The paths you build, dropped cargo, the ladders, ropes set up to overcome obstacles... all can be used by other players, and they can 'like' to let you know how much their efforts have been acknowledged.
Assassin's Creed Mirage
This is the 4th AAA game set to release on iPhone 15 Pro, expected in early 2024. The game is slated for traditional gaming platforms in October, ensuring iOS gamers won't lag far behind their PC and console counterparts.
In terms of content, Assassin's Creed Mirage is one of Ubisoft's latest additions to the familiar game series. This game will take players to 9th-century Baghdad, playing as Basil – a character from AC Valhalla – exploring the mystical land. The story follows Basil's journey from a petty thief to a member of the Assassin Brotherhood, fighting for freedom and justice against the Templar Order.
Assassin's Creed Mirage's gameplay promises a 'back to basics' approach. You won't be a straightforward warrior slashing through the crowd; instead, you need to cleverly blend into the crowd, climb and hide wisely to complete your missions.
The Division Resurgence
Also from Ubisoft, The Division Resurgence falls into the third-person shooter category, the latest installment in the familiar The Division series. This game is designed as a 'game as a service' and is set to receive regular updates. The release date on iPhone 15 Pro is expected in early 2024.
While Resurgence's storyline is entirely separate from the previous versions, its gameplay remains unchanged. Players will battle in a vast city, using various weapons from shotguns to drones to eliminate different enemies, collecting loot to craft better weapons and equipment. Imagine this as a Diablo with guns or a modern-day Monster Hunter.
