Paint 3D is a new drawing tool integrated into Windows 10, replacing the classic Paint tool. Enhanced with numerous new features and a completely redesigned interface, Paint 3D allows you to draw and create 3D objects, living up to its name. In this article, Mytour will introduce you to how to use Paint 3D on Windows 10, inviting you to explore.
Step 1: To open Paint 3D, open the Start Menu and then find Paint 3D in the list of apps.
Step 2: At the startup interface, you have 5 choices as follows:
1 – New: Create a new file
2 – Open: Open a file
3 – Paste: Paste the content you just copied
4 – Watch the Paint 3D introduction video
5 – Open the available 3D collection
Step 3: Choose New to create a new drawing. In the main working interface of Paint 3D, there are two main areas to pay attention to: the Menu bar and the toolbar. Functions are annotated in the image below.
With the brush tool, there are various types of brushes for you to choose from.
With the 2D Shapes tool, you can draw various shapes as well as different types of straight lines and curves:
The 3D drawing tool is the most exciting feature in Paint 3D, allowing you to easily draw 3D shapes and objects and rotate them from various angles:
The Sticker menu lets you paste cute images onto the objects you've drawn. You can also choose stickers from your computer if you prefer:
The 3D Library section allows you to design and edit real-world objects such as tables, chairs, vehicles, animals, and more:
To save your drawing or design, select the Menu:
Next, you select Save as. Here, we have 2 options for saving files:
- Save as Copy: You can save the file as an image, in 3D format, or as a video.
- Save as Paint 3D Project: Save as a Project. When saved in this format, you can edit the file if needed.
When saving the file in 3D format, you can save it in one of 3 formats: *.glb, *.fbx, or *.3mf.
