The G.I. Joe brand has been around since the early 1960s in various forms. Sometimes members of the G.I. Joe team resemble typical army soldiers in familiar camouflage, and other times they resemble Channing Tatum. While there is much debate about the acronym G.I. Joe, there is no debate about G.I. Joe's best deployment, which is the 1980s comic book version that inspired the iconic animated series of the same name. And that is the template for creating GI Joe: Operation Blackout.
The original story of GI Joe: Operation Blackout spans 17 campaign missions, beginning with a rare moment of failure for the G.I. Joe team. Cobra has succeeded in executing a coordinated attack, leading to chaos worldwide as technology becomes useless. Now, the world's peace depends on a small group of surviving G.I. Joe soldiers. They must fight and defeat Cobra.
