One Punch Man presents a variety of monsters, including at least 4 gigantic centipedes. Let's review the reasons why they exit the story.
As a humorous manga parodying superhero tropes and shonen archetypes, One Punch Man boasts a plethora of uniquely crafted monsters. The series delivers comedic moments through its characters, often drawing inspiration from various popular manga, such as the cases of Vaccine Man and Marugori. However, it seems that writer ONE and illustrator Yusuke Murata have a particular fascination with a certain type of creature: the centipede.

Gigantic centipede monsters have been a part of One Punch Man since its early stages, persisting until the latest introduction of a new antagonist. Thus far, four gigantic centipede monsters have been showcased, each undergoing changes in name and appearance, paralleled by shifts in their powers. Unfortunately, all of them have met their demise in the blink of an eye.
1. Centikohai
Centikohai marks the debut of gigantic centipede monsters in One Punch Man. Alongside Venus Peopletrap, it attempts to abduct the sponsor's child for the Hero Association. However, before the monstrous centipede can execute its plan, Metal Bat defeats Venus Peopletrap and splits Centikohai into two. In its dying breath, Centikohai recounts its life story to Metal Bat.

Centikohai was once a normal centipede, but its repeated molting process caused it to grow to abnormal sizes. As a result, it was believed to be at the top of the food chain. However, it continued to evolve into the next centipede monster.
2. Centisenpai
Centisenpai made a rather impressive entrance when mentioned by Centikohai. Unlike Centikohai, Centisenpai was encased in steel and boasted a body width of four meters. Not to mention its humanoid face. Although more dangerous than Centikohai, the pitiful creature still met its demise when facing off against Metal Bat.

Metal Bat immediately engaged Centisenpai after the showdown with Centikohai. While Venus Peopletrap supported Centikohai, Centisenpai had Lafreshidon. Initially, Metal Bat fought valiantly and determinedly against the two Demon-level monsters, but he was later mesmerized by Lafreshidon's paralyzing gas. Seizing this opportunity, Centisenpai attacked Metal Bat. Ultimately, to break free from the gas's influence, Metal Bat resorted to self-inflicted blows with his bat, then proceeded to kill both monsters.
3. Centichoro
Although stronger than its siblings, Centichoro is more focused and less verbose. The gigantic centipede monster made its first appearance after the death of Centisenpai, showcasing the remarkable defensive power of its armor as Metal Bat's baseball bat bounced off after striking it.

Once again, Centichoro emerges in the Monster Association arc to rescue Garo, but tragically meets its demise. Bang, Bomb, and Genos find themselves trapped in a futile battle with it, failing to defeat the creature due to its relentless regeneration and repeated molting. Just as Bang prepares for self-sacrifice, King cunningly deceives Centichoro into attacking him. Seizing the opportunity, Saitama, hidden behind King, swiftly finishes off the remaining monster with a single punch.
4. Centisennin
Centisennin, a colossal centipede monster, emerges as a new threat in One Punch Man. The creature surfaces after Garou defeats Platinum Spermatozoon and declares its intention to eradicate the fist opposing God, only to have its ambition swiftly crushed.

Centisennin launches an attack on a helicopter carrying civilians, prompting a collaboration between Garou and Metal Bat, boosting their confidence in facing the creature. After some discussions and power escalation, Garou seizes the regeneration core of the centipede. With a swift toss into the air, the Hero Hunter sends it flying. As Centisenin gives chase, its body elongates into a straight line. Garou simply walks atop the creature and swiftly ends its existence.
