During the recent Sony Show event on September 17th in Ho Chi Minh City, the new Chairman and CEO of Sony Corporation, Mr. Kazuo Hirai, paid a special visit to Vietnam and toured the Mytour retail system.

In a packed schedule from morning to evening in Vietnam, Mr. Kazuo Hirai, the Chairman and CEO of Sony Corporation worldwide, had working sessions and discussions with Sony Vietnam leaders on the development direction of smartphones, games, and Sony Vietnam's OLED TV line in 2017. He also participated in the Sony Show technology exhibition at the Youth Cultural House in Ho Chi Minh City.

Sharing his visit to Vietnam for Sony Show 2017, Mr. Kazuo Hirai - CEO and Chairman of Sony Corporation, emphasized that Vietnam is a key market in the region. Sony Corporation will continue to bring the best products to Vietnamese users in the fields of cameras, entertainment in imaging, and sound.'Vietnam is a key market in the region, and I am proud of Sony's recent global achievements, spanning across technology, film, music, gaming, reaching users worldwide,' Mr. Kazuo Hirai stated.
Immediately after the event, Mytour - Ho Chi Minh City had the honor of being the next stop in this brief visit by Mr. Hiroki Totoki.
Mr. Kazuo Hirai, along with Sony's leadership team, was welcomed by Mr. Trang Hong Thai - General Director, and all the staff at Mytour Superstore. They were introduced to the booths showcasing SONY's products at the store.

Impressed by Mytour's robust investment, one of the largest retail systems in Vietnam and a strategic partner of Sony, Mr. Kazuo Hirai acknowledged Mytour's professional retail space. He observed the large scale, with the presence of many leading global electronics brands. Mr. Kazuo Hirai highly appreciated the role and position of Mytour, stating that SONY made the right choice in selecting its top strategic partner in Vietnam.
Discussing future strategies in the Vietnamese market with Mytour's leadership, Mr. Kazuo Hirai emphasized Sony's commitment to restoring its inherent strength. He plans to reestablish a key position for consumer electronic devices and strengthen collaboration with Mytour and retail stores in Vietnam to regain Sony's outstanding position.
About Mr. Kazuo Hirai: He heads the global Sony Corporation, encompassing various business segments: Consumer Electronics, Smartphone, Games & Network Services, Pictures (Film and TV channels), Music, Financial Services, and Professional (Specialized solutions & equipment). Kazuo Hirai became the CEO and Chairman of Sony Corporation on April 1, 2012. This marks his first official meeting with the youth in Vietnam.
