The GnuCash development team has just released GnuCash 2.7.3, another unstable version of the GnuCash 3.0 accounting software. The official release of the accounting software will introduce a new version with only two digits instead of three as it has been until now.
GnuCash 2.7.3 introduces a variety of fresh features
According to the announcement: “Please note that with our upcoming main release, we will use a two-digit release number, and the next stable release will be 3.0. Maintenance releases will be 3.1, 3.2, … . The next unstable version will be 3.900 and will evolve into version 4.0”.
New Features in GnuCash 2.7.3
The standout features of GnuCash 2.7.3 include CSV price importer, enhanced transaction reports with added options and functionalities like reconciliation reports, a more compact storage schema for Bayesian account combinations, and advanced Python bindings for displaying the GnuCash API.
Furthermore, GnuCash now supports Guile 2.2 instead of the older Guile 1.8 and eliminates 6-digit pricing, allowing for price accuracy up to 18 digits. GnuCash 2.7.3 also enhances tests to cover all time zones, improves the “transient for” dialog, and boosts GTK+ 3 support.
Some errors have also been patched in this unstable release. Users can now download GnuCash 2.7.3 to their computers and install it immediately.
