The vibrant yellow hues of chrysanthemum fields in Hung Yen are a breathtaking sight, especially in the days leading up to the Western New Year, enchanting the hearts of visitors.
Fields adorned with blossoming chrysanthemums in Hung Yen

This enchanting expanse of chrysanthemum flowers is located in Nghia Trai village, Tan Quang commune, Van Lam district, Hung Yen province. The golden chrysanthemums signal the arrival of spring.
This petite flower, also known as 'Imperial Progress Chrysanthemum,' earned its name because it was traditionally cultivated by locals and offered to the Emperor for its rejuvenating and detoxifying properties.
The Imperial Progress Chrysanthemum is meticulously cultivated and cared for by locals to achieve the highest quality of medicinal properties.


In mid-December 2018, photographer Nguyen Tung Duong, hailing from Ha Dong - Hanoi, embarked on a visit to the Chrysanthemum Village in Nghia Trai, capturing the bustling scene of locals joyfully harvesting fresh flowers.
Mr. Tung Duong conveyed the words of the farmers, revealing that the chrysanthemum harvesting season extends for about 20 days, typically aligning with the approach of the Western New Year.

'The fields of golden chrysanthemums glisten in the morning sun or the waning evening light. The blooming chrysanthemum carpets showcase vibrant yellow hues, releasing a fragrant aroma that charms wandering travelers in this enchanting locale,' Mr. Duong shared.
During the harvest season, artisans and locals eagerly descend into the fields to gather chrysanthemums. Spotting photographers, they willingly pose to immortalize moments amidst the captivating chrysanthemum fields.
