Continuing the success of the 'Golden Week' in 2012, the Hue Imperial City Conservation Center will collaborate with the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Tourism Association to organize tourism stimulation programs in 2013 through 'Golden Tourism Weeks.'
This program aims to respond to the tourism stimulation program in 2013 initiated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, focusing on commemorating the 10th anniversary of Hue Royal Court Music recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative of Humanity and the 20th anniversary of the Hue Imperial City Ensemble recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage.
As a result, there will be 3 phases of organizing 'Golden Tourism Weeks', including:
- Phase 1: From April 21, 2013, to April 27, 2013
- Phase 2: From September 02, 2013, to September 08, 2013
- Phase 3: From December 24, 2013, to December 30, 2013

During phases 1 and 2, the program will offer free admission and discounted services (electric cars, Royal Court Music performances) at various historical sites in Hue. Visitors during the 'Golden Tourism Weeks' of phases 1 and 2 will enjoy numerous privileges and promotions such as:
- When purchasing tickets for the Imperial City - Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, receive complimentary electric shuttle services from the Imperial City to the museum, along with a 50% discount on tickets for the Royal Court Music performance (at Duyet Thi Duong Theater)
- Buy tickets to visit 03 locations (Imperial City - Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, Khai Dinh Tomb, Minh Mang Tomb), and enjoy free admission to the remaining historical sites (Tu Duc Tomb, Thieu Tri Tomb, Hon Chen Palace)
- Free guided tours at the Imperial City (for groups of 15 or more)
- Enjoy free Hue folk singing programs at Truong Sanh Palace; Witness the Grand Music performances at The Mieu - Imperial City (regularly organized)...
Travelers to Hue during phase 3 of the Golden Week (from December 24, 2013, to December 30, 2013) will benefit from discounted tickets, service promotions (electric cars, Royal Court Music performances), and the organization of welcoming the 2 millionth visitor to the Hue historical sites, along with some additional activities at various historical sites.
The 'Golden Week' for tourists in this phase, in addition to the promotional policies and exemptions as in phases 1 and 2, the Center will lead, coordinate with the Hotel Association, Tourism Association, and travel agencies to seek support for additional valuable gifts such as:
- Organize special gifts for the 2 millionth visitor to the Hue historical sites
- Incentive gifts for the 1,900,000th and 2,000,100th visitors
- Present commemorative gifts to groups with the 2 millionth visitor
- Open free admission to the Imperial City for visitors and local residents to watch the Royal Palace Night program, organized on the last night of the 'Golden Week' to announce and distribute gifts to the 2 millionth visitor and the top 3 leading units bringing visitors to the Hue historical sites; 20% discount on tickets for participants in the Royal Palace Night banquet...
Additionally, after completing the demand stimulation week of Phase 1, the Hue Imperial City Conservation Center will establish priority policies for the top 10 travel companies that bring the most visitors to the Hue historical sites in 2013.
