Google Admits Pixel 6 Maximum Charging Power Limited to 23W

Recently, Google made a post on the Pixel community forum to acknowledge and explain the issue.Google states that the energy supplied to the phone during charging varies based on factors such as system design, battery cell, temperature, system usage, and 'charging state.' The company has optimized the Pixel's lithium-ion battery for fast charging when the battery is low, achieving 50% charge in 30 minutes and 80% in one hour 'depending on device usage and temperature' with the official 30W charger. Charging power will gradually decrease to improve battery lifespan as it approaches full capacity, and charging time may also be affected by features like Adaptive Charging and Charging Temporarily Limited. Finally, the post lists the actual charging power for the Pixel 6 series, something Google omitted from the initial advertising documentation: 'The maximum power that Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro achieve from the wired charger is 21W and 23W, respectively'
