With the launch of Google Play Games PC platform, will it create an imbalance between PC and Mobile gamers?
Playing mobile games on PC has been a common practice. However, mostly revolving around RPGs where players can log in with multiple accounts for different purposes. For Esports games, few players are interested in using emulators mainly due to suboptimal optimization and control mechanisms.

Hence, for mobile Esports gaming, players still prefer experiencing it on smartphones. PUBG Mobile was an exception, allowing players to use specific emulators, but it resulted in an imbalance between PC and Mobile users.
Therefore, PUBG Mobile previously segregated emulator users into separate servers. Enabling emulator use for Esports games inherently tilts the balance against mobile users. Games optimized for emulators often provide advantages with mouse and keyboard over touchscreens.

Thus, besides PUBG Mobile, there aren't many Esports games allowing emulator use. However, in the coming time, Google Play Games will experiment with a series of Android games playable on computers, including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Whether it will replicate PUBG Mobile's success in optimizing mouse and keyboard usage remains to be seen. Nonetheless, with Google trialing it for the Google Play Games PC platform, Mobile Legends is likely to benefit more than using third-party emulators.
If Mobile Legends succeeds on Google Play Games PC, it's likely that more Esports games will emerge on this platform in the future. By then, the pros and cons will become clear.
